Coaching

Coaching can help you to develop and establish a goal. Or if you already have one it can help you progress towards your desired goal.

It is more about looking at the present and the future than reviewing the past.

Coaching is not ‘problem focussed’ like counselling or psychotherapy but more goal focussed, assisting you to move forward in your life, relationship or in your career.

Depression

Are you feeling empty, worthless, debilitated, numb. Not engaging in social or physical activities?

Feeling so low can cause sleep disturbance leaving you to wake up feeling exhausted.

It can cause appetite disturbance, eating too much or too little; irritability which can lead to anger, or ruminating on past resentments.

Trauma

I am a fully qualified trauma Psychotherapist and have helped hundreds of people overcome the most serious psychological issues. Techniques include amongst others, debriefing, counselling and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.

A traumatic experience can be sudden and unexpected. No one really knows how they will react until it happens to them. The most important thing is to remember your reaction is perfectly normal and we can work together to better manage your response to it .

OCD

Unwanted obsessions are troubling and time consuming.

They affect people of all ages and walks of life, getting a person caught in a cycle of obsessions and compulsions.

Obsessions can be unwanted, intrusive thoughts, images or urges that trigger intensely distressing feelings.

Repetitive behaviours can then become entrenched with the intention of neutralizing, counteracting, or making a persons obsessions go away.

Personal Development

Lets journey towards your desired goals.

Personal development planning is the process of creating an action plan based on your awareness, values, reflection and goals.

You may feel stuck, unmotivated but sense you need to change and move forward within the context of a career, education, relationship or for personal self-improvement.

Oncology

Can be frightening and confusing

I have been especially trained by BUPA and continue to work with BUPA’s oncology team taking care of people diagnosed with cancer.

People can be very frightened and confused with this diagnosis.

Therapeutic support is offered to help people coming to terms with a diagnosis, be supported through the treatment process. Maybe to make very difficult decisions.

Panic Attacks

Panic attacks can come on at any time. They are a physiological response due to intense pressure and stress, which can destabilise your world.

The symptoms can be terrifying; rapid heart beat, breathlessness, chest pain or discomfort, dizziness or light.

Stress

Is a modern day reality and reveals itself in the body and the mind

Most people can manage a moderate amount of stress, however when we experience physical symptoms of stress or feel that our stress is ‘bottle-necking’ it's time to get some help.

A ‘bottleneck’ of stress means we could have many life changes occurring at the same time for instance;- a relationship.

Learning Differences

I have had formal training in working with clients experiencing learning differences. I have also had personal family experience with Autistic Spectrum Disorder conditions –ASD.

I aim to help you manage these on an individual basis and within relationships:-
Autism
Aspergers
Dyslexia
